About the University

At Glamorgan, we are proud of our growing reputation as a provider of quality higher education, best illustrated by an excellent Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) Institutional Review in November 2008 and impressive outcomes from the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise.

As part of our commitment to excellence, we are undergoing a £130 million capital programme, including ATRiuM – our landmark campus at the heart of Cardiff city centre, new state-of-the-art science laboratories at Glyntaff and a new iconic Students’ Union building at Treforest. Renowned for its friendly community and supportive atmosphere, Glamorgan continues to grow and attracts more than 21,000 students to its campuses in South Wales and delivery points across the globe. Undergraduate courses include foundation studies, foundation degrees, HNCs and HNDs, as well as BA/BSc (Hons) Degrees. If you are applying for any of these types of courses to study on a full-time basis, you need to apply through UCAS If you are applying to study on a part-time basis, you need to apply directly to the University.

We pride ourselves on courses that are relevant to the real world and at Glamorgan, you will develop the knowledge and skills you need for your chosen career. Our students see the clear benefits of our approach. Over 94% of first degree Glamorgan graduates find employment or further study within six months of graduation – a figure which compares favourably to the UK average of 89.9%.*

The latest developments include accommodation blocks, a major expansion for health, sport and science students at our Glyntaff campus, world class sports facilities at Glamorgan Sport Park and a contemporary Students’ Union complex at Treforest. This is in addition to a new home for our Law School in a Grade II listed building and our vibrant ATRiuM campus at the heart of Cardiff city centre.
