When LJMU’s 10-year campus development programme is completed in 2013, the University will have invested £180 million in upgrading existing properties and developing new buildings with facilities unrivalled elsewhere in the North West.
LJMU continues to make substantial investment to University buildings to ensure our students have access to the best facilities during their time here. Our two Learning Resource Centres (LRCs) in the city centre are impressive, multi-purpose buildings with Student Zones offering welfare and support, networked PCs and flexible learning spaces for both quiet study and group work. Grab a coffee in the cafe, meet friends and finish assignments in comfort – 24/7.
New for 2012!
The brand new Redmonds’ Building will provide an innovative learning environment for the Liverpool Screen School, Liverpool Business School and the School of Law – this will include industry standard film and broadcasting studios and professional training facilities totalling a £37 million investment.
Recent developments have also included…
• The award winning Art & Design Academy, a £23.5 million investment into the Arts
• Extensive renovations to the Byrom Street buildings
• Tom Reilly building completed in 2009 by architects Austin Smith Lord Liverpool, providing world class sports & science facilities
