About us
The University of Northampton is a higher education establishment situated in the heart ofEnglandand offers various subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The University is globally renowned in subject specialisms such as Wastes Management, Leather Technology and Fashion.
As part of the University’s new strategy, we aim to be the top university in theUK for social enterprise by 2015. Our social enterprise strategy is based on a desire to be distinctive, forward-thinking and responsible.
Study
The University of Northampton offers a vast selection of courses, including Foundation Degrees, HNDs, undergraduate degrees (BA/BSc) and postgraduate and professional qualifications.
The University caters for all types of student, from school leavers to mature and international students. We are committed to enabling flexible study where possible and ensuring all students get the best out of their university experience.
All students from October 2011 will also have the opportunity to work in a social enterprise as part of their course. This offer will develop new entrepreneurial skills and competences and further enhance employability.
Campuses
The University of Northampton has two campuses, Park Campus and Avenue Campus.
Both of our sites offer a secure and pleasant environment with plenty of green, wide-open spaces. You will also notice the wild rabbits and squirrels who are our friendly neighbours.
The University offers great facilities for every aspect of student life. Amenities on campus include:

Avenue Campus
Avenue Campus is just one mile from the town centre and less than two miles from Park Campus and adjacent to one of the largest parkland areas in Northampton.
It is a major centre for art, design, technology, architecture and the performing arts and is establishing an excellent reputation as an open, regional ‘Arts Centre for all’, with art gallery viewings, theatre performances, exhibitions and much more. The campus is equipped with workshops, laboratories, computer aided design suites, dance and drama studios, as well as a restaurant, campus shop and bar.
Park Campus
Set in 30 hectares of open, green parkland, Park Campus is within easy walking distance of a busy, local shopping area with banks, supermarkets, shops and pubs.
The campus itself is very impressive and spacious with an extensive library, modern restaurant, a sports hall, shops, bars and a nightclub.
